Project: Nonameasofyet
well guys I'm throwing a build thread together real quick just to get the word out. anyone who wants the story behind the truck can PM me, as I just want to tell everyone the plans, as they are extremely short notice.
the truck as it sits right now is a cab and chassis, with no drivetrain in it. frame is half painted and is okay looking. lol. they are having the Canton Car Show this year, for the first time in 2 years. my best friend, the truck's PO, drove it at the last show they had, and little did we know it would be his last show as well. I WANT this truck to be on the road by the 19th and 26th of this month. any ideas please PM me. I will post up pics and other nonsense later tonight or tomorrow. keep on truckin

Re: Project: Nonameasofyet
camel menthol lights. lol. the girlfriend and my buddy both smoke mediums.
And after doing some thinking, I came back to my senses, and there is just too much to do to get it done in time, so my next temporary deadline will be sept. 29, which is the day he passed away.

Re: Project: Nonameasofyet
That looks like a solid start! especially for a Midwest truck. It doesn't look like it needs a whole lot to get it on the road?
Oh, and nice avatar. IMCA or Wissota? -Sam.

Re: Project: Nonameasofyet
I had it on the road once all of last summer, but the donor drivetrain finally made me realize the truck deserves to be gone through the right way.
it's only been in the midwest for about 4-5 years. originally an Oklahoma truck, then spent a long time in Kansas. and the car is USRA which is the same as IMCA I think?

Re: Project: Nonameasofyet
well, Todd (68C15) was over on saturday and looked at the truck and I got a peek at his '68 as well. I'm just waiting to have enough time to pull the cab and front clip off, and then the entire frame will be getting a makeover.

Re: Project: Nonameasofyet
waiting on warmer weather to bring the truck back home...
engine is torn down waiting for internals. picked up 5 lug rear from Bryan (67 cst swb) a couple weeks ago, now just have to blast and paint all the stuff before I can do the swap. I am contemplating leaving the stock color for now with some slightly wider wheels to go for the sleeper look. that is if I can massage out the dents in my bed. still have to rebuild my trans, but that just goes on the neverending list. hoping summer comes sooner than later.
