White Wall help
I'm looking for some wide white walls, I want a big white wall stripe, 3.5"+ the bigger the better. Where is a good source for these? Whats the largest size tire I can get for the stock rim, 235X70X15?
What about bias ply? they are cheaper and seem to come with large stripes. How is the driving with these? Will it be something ill regret as soon as i drive it down the road?? |

Re: White Wall help
I am currently running G78-15's on my truck. I went with these tires for two reasons: They were affordable and offered the largest whitewall, from the rim on out.
These are bias ply. I like the old-skool, lowrider look of the tires, and they SMOKE really nice !! As far as ride and handling, they ride as good as it gets on my truck (still has the PO ghetto suspension under it). These tires do "find" the grooves in the road. When you cruise down the highway for example, and there are grooves in the road, they tend to pull or steer into the groove. That's just how it is, I guess. Here are some pics: - - - - (What....theres a hood on it ??) - - (There you go, that's more like it ! ) -

Re: White Wall help
You think ??
Not use to it I guess...there is so much more visibilty without it.... I'm not trying to show off the motor, just thought it went more with the look. It's a PITA to get the bird crap off the ruff finish and the engine at times....try not to park under trees.

Re: White Wall help
Give Wallace Wade a call. They're local here, but not too far for you in OK. They've got what you want. They're probably at your local large swap meets as well.

Re: White Wall help
what would you all say the life span of bias ply tires is on our trucks?
I have radials on mine now, but they are nearing the end of their lives. I love the look of WW's on these trucks, but there's no way I could afford radial versions. |
