Drop spindles for drum brakes?

Does anyone know of a company that sells dropped spindles that are setup for drum brakes? My son is getting a 66 that he would like to drop but wants to keep the original brakes.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks.

Scott

No one makes them at all. I tried to find some. However, if you reall have to drop it and want to leave the drums, you can buy dropped lower control arms 1.5-inch for about 799 from Control freaks. A set of drop spindles and disc brakes from No limit Engineering minus the master cylinder is about 465 bucks for that truck. I know I bought one.

The first link contains the spindles too, though they don't seem to be in the picture. I think you'll need to get a master cylinder and you'll probably have to do some modifying on your stock line setup. Some kits from other vendors are more "complete" and contain things like lines, proportioning valve, and master cylinder.

Re: Drop spindles for drum brakes?

You have to buy the spindles too.

Its the spindles like 219 or whatever and the brakes 269.
