Well, I've been tinkerin' with the newly acquired SWB- trying to get it road worthy. I've done alot of wiring work and making sure all the fluids and belts are fresh. I've also done some cosmetic work to try and remove some of the suck the previous owner applied to the vintage tin.

Holy cr#p that grill is slick how did you get all that paint off and protect the crome?

2/pair rubber gloves- $8
1 qt Lacquer thinner- $6

It looks new! Good job! I'm surprised it's not all beat to hell like the rest of these old trucks. You got lucky.. and I dig the GMC grills with the 67-68 hoods.

I had a couple hours to work on some of the remaining wiring gremlins in the hoo-ride, installed an old sport bumper I had on the back and stripped the paint off the original chrome front bumper and mounted it too. I don't know why but this stuff always takes longer than I think it should. Oh well, any progress is good progress in my book.

Looks good - I will need to do the same to the front 67 grill trim on a parts truck that I have.
