Re: Ignition lock cylinder removal???
if you dont want to rent a lock plate tool its easy to make one using a piece of flat stock, a couple of bolts and four nuts

Re: Ignition lock cylinder removal???
If you removed the correct screw , try turning the ignition to the run position and see if it comes out . I cant see but if there is a slot where my arrow is , Take a screwdriver and press the small latch where the arrow is pointing if there is a vertical opening . If it doesnt come out the first time , turn the key to run and try again . The torx screw should have had a threaded portion and a smooth shouldered section if it was the correct screw .

Re: Ignition lock cylinder removal???
thats how mine was (torx screw) and thats all it took and the key cylinder basically fell out in my hands.
i bet his is the one you have to use the screwdriver to get out with. i've never seen that one personally so i dont know the how to for that one. |
