parking brake bracket on frame
Does anyone know if the parking brake bracket where the front cable hooks up on the frame by the tranny is the same on 2WD and 4WD trucks? The bracket shown is on a 72 1/2 ton 4x4 and I need one. I have access to a parted out 72 2WD truck but I don't know if they are the same. If anyone has one of these on an old frame they could part with, please PM me. Thanks.

Re: parking brake bracket on frame
On 2wd frames there is a hole in the frame that the parking brake cable runs through.

Re: parking brake bracket on frame
I just pulled a trans crossmember out of a 68 chevy 3/4 ton big block auto trans column shift and I didnt see any bracket like that under there, what this one had is 2 oblonged mounts that were bolted to the center rear part of the crossmember that the e brake cable ran thru. Kind of like an equalizer

Re: parking brake bracket on frame
Hey lugnut,
I post this alot.....this is the ebrake setup for 67/68...not sure it helps, but other than the ebrake handle in the cab, I think the routing is the same??

Re: parking brake bracket on frame
From the replies i received, it doesn't sound like the 2WD frame has this bracket on it. Do any of you guys have a 4x4 frame with this bracket? I need to get one of these brackets. Thanks.
