84 k5- 4wd to 2wd conversion

Since 2wd are becoming scarce, I've been thinking about converting my 4x to 2wd. What does everyone here think? Too complex or is it doable... Was thinking of just picking up a stock c10 pick up and changing suspensions..

What would be my best route..

I've been thinking of doing the same thing to my 1990...
