windshield replaced
First of all thanks to this board for all the info here. I was able to replace my windshield by myself because I searched a thread and it did work for me. I took the glass from my 67 and put it in my 72 in about 1 1/2 hrs. It made me feel good and I didnt have to pay anybody so thats a plus. It really isnt that difficult it just takes patience. My goal is to do all the work on my truck and thanks to the experts here I just may achieve it !

Re: windshield replaced
were you able to get one from a local autoglass place or did you have to order from a vendor?

Re: windshield replaced
The glass came from my 67 and the seal I got from a friend of mine. My 67 has been sitting in my garage for about 2 yrs.now so I can get another one for it when its ready for one. I was able to put my cracked one from my 72 on it just for now.

Re: windshield replaced
If you successfully transplanted one windshield from a vehicle into another one and didn't break it, you are "Da Man". To subsequently take the one you removed (and already with a crack) and reinstall it in the donor cab....you win first prize in todays show.

Re: windshield replaced
I felt like I was dreaming haha I still cant believe it myself
I replaced the rear glass a few months ago, and that one seemed harder for some reason. At one point I almost gave up because it fell in between the bed and the cab. Im glad it all worked in my favor for once
