They are some of the cheapest you buy. You get them for less than $100 each, but the trim rings and caps cost extra. Here's another one I found on file.

Those are steelies. There are 2 different kinds though. Some have external humps that mount a 10 1/4" hub cap like I have have on my rad rot/shop truck/beater '69 and then theres the kind that has internal humps that mount smoothie and derby style caps.

Here's the kind I have...

Here's the other style. Notice how you can't see the 4 mounting humps on this kind.

Re: Pictures of 67-72's with white walls

When you say "whitewall" with these trucks the narrow whitewalls come to mind, since they came on these and are what were being used since the`50s.The look with "wide whitewalls" has become popular with the late`50s/early`60s custom trend on the rebound.

Actually, the widest white walls were pretty much gone from the mid-50's. The trend was to a narrower whitewall, and they became 2-inches wide. If you bought a new car in '61, and you ordered them or they were part of the dealer's order, the whitewalls were 2 inches wide. In '62, in response to the showcar scene and Detroit, whitewalls suddenly were a 1-inch ring. Narrower and narrower they got until they were down to a 3/8 stripe. Tiger Paws, Goodyear Wide Tread and Wide Ovals were all available with the narrow stripe. Dunlop had a gold stripe available. Corvettes and the like could be had with red-line wide ovals. Blue Streak tires had a blue stripe.

But no new vehicles sold in '62 and later were equipped with the "old-fashioned" wide whites. That would have been like putting a bug shield on a Porsche...

In the '70's, the Gangsterline look came into play with the wide whites finally being offered in a radial tire line. Think back to Shaft and the Caddy's and Monte Carlo's of that era. Coker has offered wide whites for years for the collector car trade. www.coker.com will show you what they have.
