Re: Flowmaster Super 44's
never heard them on one of our trucks but we use them on new mustangs and they sound awesome. very crisp on acceleration but more mellow than 40 series cruising at highway speed. hope this helps. another muffler to check out is the new line offered under the "cherrybomb" name, they were bought by a texas based company-IMCO- and they are offering some nice sounding, high quality mufflers less expensive than flowmaster and magnaflow.

Re: Flowmaster Super 44's
I dont have them YET, but plan og getting some super 44's on my 327 here soon as I get the motor back from the machine shop.
I did hear them on a 85 about 3 weeks ago, when I pulled into O'Reillys there was a kid that just installed a pair of 44's that morning and was showing a few of the O'Reillys guys what they sounded like. I just stood in the back ground listening to the sweet note & over heard them saying that a lot of people have been coming into the store asking if they have heard them yet. After hearing them, I alomst bought them while I was there at O'Reillys, Its a clean 40 series muffler with out too much rasp at top end. There truck was running a 60 over 350 with RV cam, sounded quiet but "muscle" at idle & roared when reeving without to much "40" rasp. By far its the perfect blend of sound for a Truck. |
