revits on floor

What are the small rivets sticking up on the upper floor for?
There are two on each side. Help hold floormat?

Yes, I believe to hold the full rubber floor mat. I may be wrong though.

My truck has carpet now, but originally had rubber and I agree they hold the rubber in place.I never did cut mine off when I put my carpet in.
