Survived hurricane IKE
I have had a few people ask how i made it in Beaumont- Port Arthur area. I still am not home and still without electricity. All of our houses are ok and all of my shops are ok. I have a lot of damage, but not near as bad as Rita. All of my trucks and parts are ok at my place. I do have about 6 trucks and alot of parts at my buddies place in Bridge City area. I still do not know about them. This is good stuff that i have in a building stashed since Rita. Lots of parts and about 5 swb beds. Some parts of Bridge City had 5 to 10 foot of water. I got lucky again. I will be back on board next week i hope.
We are planning on having our swap meet at HOUSTON RACEWAY PARK.BAYTOWN DRAGSTRIP ON SUNDAY SEPT. 28 TH . We have already mailed out about 2300 post cards for our mailing list so it is hard to call it off. The racetrack will be open Sept. 22 for business. Check there website and ours at www SWAP MEET TEXAS .com Or call 409 718-8090 409 718-8089 Later Steve

Re: Survived hurricane IKE
Glad to see you guys are back on the air. The news shows some tough going for folks in the Houston area, but there's a lot more of Texas Gulf Coast than just Houston. Since I have kinfolks in Conroe, The Woodlands and in Sugarland, I'm glad to see y'all back on the board.
Good luck.

Re: Survived hurricane IKE
Steve, glad to hear all is good. We got hit pretty bad in Pasadena Area. My house is good, I just lost a lot of trees in the yard. I thank God for looking out for us. I worked up to the beginning and right after the storm and to see the devastation make me even more thankful. Airplanes upside down in the street, boat sitting in the middle of apartment complexes and on the roads. Power lines are down everywhere! Now all I have to do is police the looters until the power is back on.
