Vortec Heads/Accessories
I'm considering getting this motor at some point.
http://www.jegs.com/p/GM+Performance/813788/10002/-1 It has Vortec heads. Will my driver's side alternator mount bolt up correctly to these heads? I have a 350 in my '69.

Re: Vortec Heads/Accessories
on my 72 everything bolted up fine. i did have problems with all the brackets that bolt to the intake manifold bolt. the stock manifold the bolt holes are slanted, the vortek are flat.

Re: Vortec Heads/Accessories
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll be O.K., I don't have anything that bolts to the intake.
Another quick question, what would the size of the flexplate on a '69 with a TH400 be?

Re: Vortec Heads/Accessories
Flexplate diameter wont matter on the trans as much as the motor & starter. If you get a flexplate & starter for an late 80's to early 90's 5.7 W/th400, you should be good to go...
