To each their own, it's really that simple.

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
i did it to mine because i got the box for a couple hundred bucks. You try to find a short box up north for a couple hundred dollars that's not rusted out. Good luck

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
Speaking of which, there is one of these beds for sale in my town for only $100. Pretty good deal!
Personally, I think the 88-98 sportside beds look right at home on a 55-59 truck more than a 67-72. http://pueblo.craigslist.org/pts/800518368.html

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
i could understand if it was a rust bucket and they just needed a new box and thats what fit on and was cheap but it looks decent aside from the rims and the box, so i dontknow why

That doesn't bother me. People converting K5 Blazers to 2wd bothers me.

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
I was actually thinking about this the other day (not for my truck) but anyways. Using the 88-98 step bed, but cutting out the wheel opening and grafting in the correct wheel arch from a 67-72 step fender. The part I don't like about the 67-72 step beds is the way they roll under on the top.
I'll keep my fleetside though |

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
I'm definitely not a fan of that....put me in that same category for big wheels, skinny tires and frame rails on the ground.
I know to each his own and this is mine. Not dissing anyone who has done this, I'm just not into it....ruins the looks of our old trucks.

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
I would have to call that truck ruined.
I guess I'm just the picky type, that eyeballs people's fender gaps... those body lines just aren't acceptable.

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
That problem could easily be fixed. I personally don't like truck where the body touches the ground(lowered). For 2wd I think the stock look ib best. Just my opinion.

Re: why do people ruin these trucks..
I think you should at least keep the body parts as the same style. In other words, I hate the 89-98 beds. Although I do love the orange one.
