And when you open the hood it reveals a shelf or a storage place.

Re: My new 67 wall art
I was already thinking about that; wouldn't be hard. the thing does way like 100 lbs even with only enough core support to mount the lights

Re: My new 67 wall art
That's funny, I have my old GMC grill on my living room wall. Obviously a woman does not live in the house...

Re: My new 67 wall art
my sister in law wants it with dim lights to serve as a night light in my two nephews' room, so I may clean it up a bit and get some paint on it.

Re: My new 67 wall art
5 and 1, and my brother is a huge car guy (mechanic for CAterpillar) so they'd think it was really cool (well, the little one can't talk but he will)

Re: My new 67 wall art
There was a thread a little while back when someone had done that to the rear. It had around a foot or so of the fenders and floor. The tailgate folded down and I think they had put plexiglass on it too. Maybe even a cover on top, so it was all enclosed. They made it into a lighted display for 67-72 diecast. I don't have the link though.

Re: My new 67 wall art
Great addition to the wall...
I've been throwing around the same idea for the garage, but I'm waiting until we paint.

Re: My new 67 wall art
It's too bad you can't find some old monster truck/farm terra tires to cut in half and hang underneath the grille. I plan to do something like that eventually.

Here's a link to the display case I was talking about. I've attached one of the pics just in case the link doesn't work.
