Re: AM FM Radio Face Recrome
I had mine done at a local chrome shop. I would think any good re-chromer could do it. I do recall I had them do it again after it didn't meet my expectations. They were cool about it and it looks like new now.

Re: AM FM Radio Face Recrome
Glad to hear they took care of ya on it, do you mind saying what they charged you for the plating job and how recent? I just took this factory truck AM/FM face plate/slide bar into a local chrome shop (Oregon Plating), and was quoted $225... for re-chroming . This shop does do some great plating work, especially on pot metal as I have used them a few times for 61-64 impala related parts, just nothing in the last 5 or 6 years. Does this amount quoted seem out of line for plating nowadays?

Re: AM FM Radio Face Recrome
Although I can't remember the price (sorry), I would have not done it had they wanted that much. Thats getting into the neighborhood of a whole radio.
