fuel gauge
My fuel gauge is stuck on 1/2 full. Changed sending unit, no go. removed the famous brown wire. did not move, grounded the brown wire and nothing. any ideas please. Gary

did you check the guage the needle could be stuck or the guage itself is not working.

have not checked needle and can you test gauge. If needle is stuck does it need replaced or fix-able gary

Sounds like a stuck or broken gauge, they usualy will read one end or the other with(broken or shorted wire)

also check the printed circuit on the back of the inst panel for burned wires. If the guage doesn't get any power, then it won't read.
