Factory fire extinguisher?
I dug a box out today and ran across a small fire extinguisher that has a GMC logo on it. On the back of the tag it says GMC truck and coach div. Does anyone know if they were a dealer option or what? Is this rare? Having loading pics????? The add attachment window is saying 0 for max height for a jpg?

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
The Dimension limits for this filetype are 642 x 0. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 800 x 600.
Does anyone know what this means? I have not had this problem before. Why is there a 0 in the height place? You cant have a pic that is 0 mgpxls high can you? |

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
Not sure why the "0" is mentioned but the picture size needs to be 642 x 480? unless the file size exceeds 100k. If the file size exceeds 100k then it will be rejected and you will need to resize until you get below 100k.
Some computer whizs seem to be able to get around this limit but I can't. Jim

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
The site used to resize your pics for you, but it doesn't anymore. You just need to shrink them some. There are several ways to do it, I use "Paint" on my computer, but you can also use photobucket, link them from photobucket, etc., etc. The "0" means unlimited. There are several informative threads about it in "site feedback" and "FAQ".

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
Thanks for the help guys, I had to resize them smaller than usual. Sorry for the lack of clarity, thats all I could get the camera to do.

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
I have never seen one in a regular truck. Not to say you couldn't get one. My Grandfather was a Coal Truck Driver He drove a lot of 68-72 GMC with 427's in them. They all had fire extinguishers in them

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
That's cool! I'd take it to someone who services them, have it hydrostatic tested and recharged(probably only around $20), & mount it in the truck. Hopefully you'll never have to use it

Re: Factory fire extinguisher?
I bet all buses are required to carry fire extinguishers and came with them.GMC is big into buses.May be required equipment in larger trucks,I`d guess.
Purdy dang kewl!
