Clutch inquirie

Here is a head scratcher. I have chosen to use a Centerforce Dual
Friction clutch behind my 454, to turn my 465/205. I have a bellhousing from an 86 GM One ton. This bellhousing has the slave cylinder mount cast into the housing. The bore of said slave cylinder is 13/16'. The master cylinder has a bore of 3/4' . I am having a little difficulty bleeding the system. I am curious if this configuration is going to work. I am having trouble finding info on the tolerable ratio's between the two cylinder's. I had the same setup with a Chev/GM pressure plate and disc. And it seemed to work fine. Unfortunetly the trial was a short one. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Clutch inquirie

Your setup is very close to mine, but I did not use the bell w/the slave mount. I used my original cast bell and installed a mounting beacket for the slave.
I too had a terriable time bleeding the system. I ended up bleeding it in stages.
I bleed the hose & slave, basically gravety bled it by keeping the slave open and not letting the hose run out of fluid to keep the air out. once that was full of fluid I then bench bled the master(mounted on the truck) once I got all the air out I hooked up the hose from the slave and it has worked great eversence.
I use an 86 GM Master cyl & 80ish LandCruser Slave, -3an hose. The slave bracket I mounted came from Advance Adapter.
Good Luck
Burt
