A Bagged question

I know absolutly nothing about Baggs, and want to know why I cannot do this. 1972 Blazer 2wd, has someones drop springs in it. sits pretty level when the top is on, but raises a bunch with the top off. I am wondering what would happen if I bagged the back, and ran lines to a air fitting. no compressor, not tank, just baggs, and adjusted the air pressure to set ride height. Kind of like air shocks. I am not into the layin frame thing, just want the 2wd to ride level ---top on, and top off..HOW DO I DO THIS SIMPLY..

Yes, you can do that. You say it's a 2wd, so I "assume" it has trailing arms in the rear. If so, all you need is to bolt the bags to the spring pads. You can use single air lines, or T them and run a schrader valve.

I'm not running a compressor and tank on mine (going to race it, and that stuff adds $$$ and weight). If you go to napa, you can get a "tank valve". It's a schrader valve with NPT threads on the other end. Then you just need the appropriate fitting for the size of airline you're running.

I did not T my lines together. The reason why is I was concerned about air basically moving from side to side around corners and causing problems that way. I figure i'll just use a tire pressure gauge to "level" it or eyeball it.

you can "T" them together but you'll need something to prevent transfer during cornering, a simple ball valve on either side of the "T" would work. you can open them and air it up than close them after...

This is how my truck is set up. Works well.

No, as long as they are isolated from each other, you're fine But linking them together will allow you to get the pressure equal, and therefore level, then just close the valve...

Use Slam Specialties RE7 bags. Alot of places sell them. I got mine from Nathan Porter of Porterbuilt Street Rods. Plus he's a supporting board vendor. Shoot him a PM.

I would use two schraeders mount them side by side real easy to adjust. We just did a 70 Monte Carlo SS 454 and put the whole car on 4 schraeders. I really like the Air Lift Dominators as far as ride quality. I can help you out if wanted.
