Re: PIC of gas tanks under the bed please

i bought mine from no limit. it was pretty easy to install and already came together with fuel pump and the inlet and outlet for my tpi....it was a pretty penny but the tank is on and looks good. they even have a small square inside so when its low on fuel the gas stays inside to prevent "slosh" that way the fuel wont be moving around and you can have a constant pressure

Re: PIC of gas tanks under the bed please

A lot of guys swap in Suburban tanks. If it is a longbed they used to sell saddle tanks that fit in the space under the bed in front of the rear wheel. I think it was a dealer option. The bad thing by our standards is that the filler cap stuck out the side of the bed a few inches down from the top rail.

79 Postal jeep tanks work too. The 73-89 burb tanks fit in the LWB but you have to move the rear X member and trim the rear bed x member.

Ram-man,
How many gallons will that tank hold? Did you do anything special to the frame?

16 gallons if I remember right. Came with sender I used 1"x1" square tube for the top you can see in the pic and made straps out of 1" for the bottom. I am not sure what I will do for the fill part of it. Probably a door in the bed.

Re: PIC of gas tanks under the bed please

Interested as well...have a blazer tank but reconsidering doing the fuel door sidemarker light mod so it might make sense to get something like this set up for in bed fill.

If you have the part number and info on the fuel sending unit i'd appreciate it. Thanks!
