Will the carpet lay right over the high hump?

I am building this 67 2WD step using a 70 4x4 cab. I re-installed the high-hump, making a cool little cover for the 4 speed hole that follows the contour of the high hump stamping. (flat then sloping upward.)

We will be keeping it auto on the column for now, and wanted to use the high hump for a B&M rat**** shifter in the future. Our concern is this: Will the new ACC carpet lay smoothly over the shifter hump ("high hump) and is the 4 speed cole covered up or is it pre-stamped in the carpet? Hoping there isnt a hole there.

thanks!

Just make sure that you order high hump carpet not low hump and you should be fine
The carpet I have seen has little to no forming

no hole, and the carpet should hug the hump quite fine

Re: Will the carpet lay right over the high hump?

Your vendor should ask if the carpet is for a high hump or low.The high should work perfect.Make sure you lay it out in a warm place to relax before installing.
