Question on-line parts companies

Question;

I've been searching for some parts checked the usual, LMC, Brothers, Mane, etc. Found best prices at Eklers. I've never dealt with them before. Anyone have experience with them? How are the parts quality, delivery, service, etc.

Any help appreciated.

They are also known as classic chevy parts. Located in Titusville, FL. but have another site for trucks.

Re: on-line parts companies

Still haven't heard of them, but it looks like they have a good selection.

Just for reference, they sell this weatherstrip kit for $64.99:

http://www.ecklerstrucks.com/product...07&dept_id=255

I just received the same kit from Classic Parts of America (used to be Chevy Duty) for $54.95.

Looking around their site, their prices are kind of high. Have you looked through the vendor list here on the board? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/links/browselinks.php?c=2

Re: on-line parts companies

Yes,
What I have compared is the tank carpet cover for use with bucket seats. Everyone else is at $99+ and they are $85. But, you are right, they are high on a lot of other stuff. I wondered what happened to chevyduty. My favorite would not pull up. that explains it.

thanks,

Eckler's started their business with Corvette parts, they have expanded into truck parts. I don't know about their prices on truck parts but their prices on Corvette parts have always been high.

Re: on-line parts companies

I'm from TN and recently purchased a 68 C10 Stepside (with fuil injection 5.7L and tranny from 92 GMC). While doing research at car shows, I had several people talk very highly of Southern Kentucky Classics. I haven't done any business with them yet, but will do so soon once I complete the teardown.

Re: on-line parts companies

Ecklers has been expensive, I have used them for corvette parts before, the quality of parts used to be top rate, but I had trouble with headlight bushing being of poor quality, to wide to properly install. They are sourcing from China, so quality has crashed.
