thinking of murdereing my truck
anybody got picks of a murdered truck (all flat black head to toe rims, grill EVERYTHING) ive been thinking about goin this route and would especially like to see a gmc murdered out front all the way to the back. its looks clean, simple and a tad badass plus i can put all that money from trim and fancy paint into the drivetrain! post them if you got them!

THIS one came from the city just west of me, just a couple months ago. I'm guessing Empire Auto in Schenectady NY built it... but not sure. it's pretty near flawless. looks like the current seller thinks he can ask a couple grand more than he paid a few short months ago!

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
If that is the style you want, what does it matter what we think? My truck will be black, as it was when new, but I have changed my mind on the low-gloss/flat black as the primary color. Black vehicles need some bling on them to make the black "pop". Without the bling, like bumpers and such, the lack of anything but black paint just kills the look. Oh yeah, you said "murdered" didn't you?
It's not my cup of tea, but what I like may not be yours. If it is what you want, go for it. The black truck here is virtually the plan I had for mine, before I decided to go with the gloss black. My bed is black Vortex. But the red interior is spot-on.

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
I've never seen it done, but that's kinda the direction I'm headed with my truck. Except I want to have a gloss grill and bumper with a flat body. Maybe someday.

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
yeah i was originally goin to go with a gloss black and chrome grille and trim but the cost is a factor at the moment, lot easier and cheaper just to lay flat black on everything some nice glossy black rims would be nice like 19's or 20's my ideal truck would be lotsa chrome and gloss black but a flat black truck is a close 2nd

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
I've thought about doing the black-out thing. I mean NO CHROME....none, nada, zip. There was a guy in Ft. Lauderdale that did that to a Road King. Rattle can painted everything in semi flat. Everywhere that bike went there was a crowd of people standing around takin pic's. He said he got all the parts for free because the chrome was rusty or pitted. Wire wheel, some sanding, primer & over the counter paint...done.
It's a neat concept................ RD |

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
That's the look I was going for before. With the flat black it ended up being a little too much black for me, and I like black.

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
So, if I tell you to go for it, does that make me an accessory to murder?

Re: thinking of murdereing my truck
I personally like the look of murdered out rigs but IMO it ALL has to be black no chrome any where. When you start adding chrome it just looks like a black truck with chrome accents just my two cents
