New Old guy here...
Hello guys! Had to return back to this wonderful site which has good people and good information. I previously had a 1972 Chevy K5 that was scrapped because it was too far gone, couldn't even salvage any parts, a sad day in my life....anyway, I'm back with something a little newer this time, a 1986 GMC K3500 1 Ton, with a 350, TH400, Dana 60 front Chevy 14 rear NP205 case. Also with auxiliary susp (factory tow set up and a wester plow package).....and all for $300! Frame is in marvelous shape with no cracks near the steering box (via plow setup) but did have a bad knock in the block. I Have a 1969 Chevy Camaro 350 with hight compression, being picked up on Friday and will install her sometime next week. will have pictures to follow...once again hello to all!
cheers!

Yo! East End!
Sounds like welcome back is in order!! I've not been here a long time but your situation sounds TOO similar! I DO have a '76 custom built Camaro that has my 350ci 350hp/411ftlb torque V8 that I built and drive everyday, and I'm finishing my FRANKENTRUCK ('78 3/4 ton 4x4 P/U,...identical 350 V8 copied from the Camaro's build, TH400, ORD twin-stick NP205) that I've built from scratch! I'm also an old guy! Damn hard doing this stuff with our old bodies,...just shows that we're die hards! Lots of ibuprofen and Tylenol! Welcome! Todd. |
