Speedo help

Ok, I changed my speedo gears again and my speedo is still off. The only thing that I havent chaned is the speedo it self because it was working. I have a 85 C10 with a 700R4. The gears I have in the tranny now are a 35 and a green(18 I think) with a standard rear axle 2.76 I think.

edit: my speedo is reading approx 5 MPH slow

Re: Speedo help

Have you looked at Bowtie Overdrives site? They should be able to tell you what gears you need- LINK

Re: Speedo help

Not all speedos are accurate. How are you checking your speedo to know that you are 5 mph slow. I know with motorcycles they can be off up to 3 of 4 mph and still fall into spec. I'm sure cars and trucks would be the same. Did you change tire size?.

5 MPH at 15 MPH, that's a little much in my book. Oh and I have access to a radar gun.
