Re: steering wheel question
Do those steering wheels just bolt on, or do you have to customize them to fit. It would sure be nice to have a few more inches between the wheel and seat, but of course I will lose a little mechanical advantage.

Re: steering wheel question
No customizing, just slips right on.

Re: steering wheel question
Ya, bolt right on. Only customizing is to get the horn to work but it's not that big a deal and easy to do.

Re: steering wheel question
The longhorn has a van tilt conversion, shoved forward for belly room, and a 3rd generation Trans am wheel (GTA actually)
The burb has the same column... needing pushed in more... with a late 70's early 80's (later 2nd gen) Camaro wheel. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 12-02-2008 at 07:13 PM. Reason: photo was friggen HUGE!!! |

Re: steering wheel question
As shown once already above, this is my favorite wheel to use on the personal/keeper rigs, they are 15" dia. and kinda have that period type look and feel to them. This type original GM sport wheel can be found/had in several different colors, use the 67/68 camaro wood/sport wheel hub for an easy oe/correct looking install.
