6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
I have disc up front in a 6 bolt pattern, is it as easy as buying a 5 lug rotor to do the swap? If so which rotor would I need?

Re: 6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
Pretty sure mine is the stock crossmember but have no idea what brand conversion kit was used.

Re: 6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
All of the 6 lug disc conversions I've ever messed with used interchangable rotors with 5 lug. Same bearings, same seals, same calipers and pads.
My 72 short bed actually has 68 model disc brake spindles from ECE. I sold the 6 lug rotors on this board and replaced them with parts store 5 lug rotors off a 73 model.

Re: 6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
I never realized you could just use 5 lug rotors on the aftermarket dropped spindles. I thought they were designed for only 6 lug aftermarket rotors.

Re: 6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
i would think so, you could pull a rotor and take it with you to the parts store and have them mic the 6 lug vs. 5 lug, if the same inner diameter you should be able to bolt up.
if you were not several hours away, i would let you test fit some stock rotors i have in the garage.

Re: 6 lug disc to 5 lug disc
yes 71/72 were disk brakes, just did a 72 xmember swap a couple weekends back. the only thing i would be concerned with would be the inner diameter to make sure they both use the same size bearings... good luck.
