Re: air bag help on my 69 swb
nonononononononononononono.
4 bags, and the front plates/cups for $250. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=318514 then you'd just have to figure out how you want to mount the bags in the rear. throw in hardware, lines, compressor, tank, and valves (if you want on-board control), and you should be way under 1000 Last edited by dubdeuce80; 12-17-2008 at 01:12 PM. |

Here is a place to compare prices with. I think ***************** is over priced.

Re: air bag help on my 69 swb
5 gal of air should be plenty for you, and take a look at ***************** for a compressor, they run good deals there, or you can make an onboard compressor if you don't want all of that damn noise from the electric ones.

Re: air bag help on my 69 swb
Good thread, particularly for us gravity challenged dummies. What other mods are you guys having to do to get a simple system in? Will the factory upper and lower A-arms work in the front, and what if you have rear leafs? Thanks guys!

Re: air bag help on my 69 swb
Slam specialties bags off evilbay for about 65.00 each plus shipping ( internal bumpstops). Arnott industries for the compressor and small tank ( or upgrade the tank to a bigger size) about 400.00 with a dual switch single gauge dual needle controller. Cups for the front. ( not necessary for the rear trailing arms) about 50.00 off evilbay, then 50.00 for misc bolts, fittings, and wire. You are ready to go for under 800.00. That's what I did.

Re: air bag help on my 69 swb
You will need 4 two-way valves so that the air doesnt transfer from one bag to the next during turns & stuff
And if you run something like 1/4" or 3/8" air line & it wont be stupid fast or stupid slow |
