Re: need help-pulling the bed off
The plug in is on the inside of the frame on the drivers side, 8 bolts and if I remember 6 9/16" and 2 3/4" nuts (Ratchet wrenches work wonders on this part) and if the rear wiring hasn't been torn into already there will be wiring loom holders attaching the wires to the backside of the bed that will need to be cut or popped out unless you're removing the assemblies.
All that and some buddys or a cherry picker on a flat level surface and some 4 x 4's. |

Re: need help-pulling the bed off
If the wireing is all stock it will plug in right here and the will be a wire coming down from the harness to the license plate light.

Re: need help-pulling the bed off
Get an engine crane, use straps or ropes and lift up the bed. You can also use The One Man Cab And Bed Dolly. But you will have to build it.

I used a engine hoist. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It's not that heavy.

Re: need help-pulling the bed off
most times it's easier to just grind the heads off the bolts holding the bed to the frame. that way you avoid damaging the square holes that they go into

Re: need help-pulling the bed off
i used 3 guys and a case of beer. Swaped out a long bed in about an hour with the harness fished back down through the light assys. It wasn't too bad. It was well worth it for a good bed.
