Met A Member Today
I met member cooldudecoco today. He came out to my place this morning in one of his trucks and I must say,"I like his style".I just love having another truck sitting in my driveway. It`s been awhile since I`ve had another K/20 here and I just had to take pictures.Oh,about that guy driving the truck. It was a pleasure meeting Doug and I`m sure we`ll meet again, soon.I have to go down and snoop around at his stuff now.
Gotta love this truck.Reminds me of one you`d see in a brochure:

Don't see that many 71 grills with the black paint still looking nice. Is it original?

Looks real nice. What type of black paint did you use on the grill? Flat, Satin, what brand? Thanks.

Wow, 13 NOS tailgates thread has been cleaned by Big Brother. How about an explanation next time Guys and Gals(Moderators). That's just silly.

Couldnt have said it better myself!! I love the lack of trim, and the white bumpers and caps really set it off.

Re: Met A Member Today
It wasn`t Big Brother. It says the original poster did it.
If I used my imagination I`d say it`s because the guy wanted to tell us an interesting thing that just turned into a bunch of nay-sayers doubting the authenticity and a bunch of jabber about n.o.s. compared to repro.Anyone can delete their own thread. Not being nasty, but that`s what I`m going to do to this one if it continues off track.I`d at least like Doug to get a chance to see it before it`s trashed.

The fact that you hijack this thread to gripe about something is trolling and an infraction has been issued.

Re: Met A Member Today
It`s funny,I got all caught up in finding highly optioned trucks after starting off with a`71 K/20 Custom 307 4spd manual steering 4.57s.I think it had 4 options like gauges,hubs,4spd, and AM.That was a great truck. When I bought athe`72 K/20 Cheyenne SuperCustom Camper with a filled up SPID the guy had a grapefruit Plain Jane K/20 in all original condition.I almost bought it and towed it with the Super.I was there in El Cajon touching it and I decided it didn`t have anything great in options so I left it.I still think about that truck and wish I had gotten it.I think it all comes around to simple again.
Us Maryland (and nearby) guys need to meet up this winter in a garage or something.3,4,10 it doesn`t matter.Nothin`special, just shoot the bull. 67CHIP72,no problems. We`re all human and have our reactions.
