63 Short Fleet Build
Hi all,
I've been following the site for a while and would like to share my project. Its a 63 short fleet custom cab. I've got the C4 Dropmember and rear Dropmember with a LS1 to drop in it. I'll try to post as I make progress. As I bought it [IMG] [/IMG] and I got the front set up on today [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] |

Re: 63 Short Fleet Build
Cool project. Gotta love those C4 Dropmembers. Are you running the C4 rear or the parallel 4-bar DM rear?

You started with a cool truck. The 63 BBW CC Short fleet is one of my favorites!
That frame looks really nice. I'll be watching this one with interest!

Re: 63 Short Fleet Build
It's been a while but i've made a bit of progress... Motor and transmission, did a posi in the rear, and set up the 4 link and some temporary airlines for the bags. Sheet metal work is done on the cab and got one side suicided and shaved the drip rails.

Re: 63 Short Fleet Build
Well It's been a while but I'm back working on the truck. I've gotten the loins share of the wiring done and am working on all the finishing touches. Todays project was getting my brake reservoir mounted.

Re: 63 Short Fleet Build
Thanks all!
Yes only one hinge per door...tried the two hinge kit but had clearance issues so i found the single hinge kit. 22's all the way around 285's on the back and 265's front 35 series. I'll try to remember to get some close up pics of the drip rail. I've had several requests for that. Tom |

Re: 63 Short Fleet Build
Awesome ideas and implementation, you do good work....
Seeing the quality of work that you do I feel like a hacker! Heck and your just right down the road aways! What did you use for the third brake light? Last edited by lakeroadster; 10-20-2009 at 08:57 AM. |
