OMG, what a lead I got.
Guy from another forum, where I have the same avatar, sent me pics of these.
His dad got "paid" with this truck from a customer. 28k original. Pics speak for themselves. I *WANT* this. WIW? What should I offer for a close w/o really jerking the guy over?

That's a sweet truck...I'd start with "what do you need to get out of it?" With a truck that nice...I have doubts about it being cheap.

original untouched Cheyenne, big block truck of that condition? with 23k miles?! there's been trucks half as nice on Ebay go AT LEAST 10k - 13.5K. "ain't gonna be cheap"! I'm drooling on the keyboard now........

That thing kicks a$$. It won't be super cheap, but how many are out there like that? I'd expect to drop close to $10k at least.

Bastard..... But that truck can be sold easily in the teens. You didn't tell them you were going to list the truck here did you? If that's the case I wouldn't lay down more then $2000,, Did you see how dirty that seat is? You'd be the first to start a resto. with a buffer and a rag.... By the way, I am by no means trying to screw this guy if I sounded that way. Its a fantastic deal, I just dont want to overpay if I dont need to. Thanks for the tip on what was owed. Wouldnt be surprised if the guy finds the site/thread as well

if i had the oportunity to buy a truck like that and had the ability to buy it at that time i wouldnt be wondering how much i can buy it for i would be asking them when they want me to come pick it up and pay for it

I hate to be the one, but as an observation, I guess this is a '71. But didn't the "71 Cheyennes have woodgrain instrument bezels and glove boxes. Also, the glove box had a Cheyenne emblem on it, right. I don't recall ever seeing one that had woodgrain door panels, with a black painted instrument bezel.
And I could not tell if the firewall had the factory chalk writing on it. It looked like it did not. These things make me suspect if this truck is truly original, or a resto. Then there's the 396 vs 400 SPID. Any body see anything else suspicious? Also, the SPID says CST. The emblem says Cheyenne???? All that being said, it's still a very nice truck. But as always, know what you're buying (to best of your ability). If I am off with these comments, someone let me know. I would like to be wrong on this one......... being a person who has a low mile truck...had 32k when i got it, i can tell you there are lots of issues with a truck that has sat for a long time. be sure to figure that into it... but im with the others who say ask him what he wants for it, first, then work from there.
