One more Auto Meter Gauge question - VOLTS METER
Ok, I got everything hooked up.....but I got ONE more question! (ok I might have more but Im hoping this will be my last)
My gauges have a POSITIVE LEAD, a GROUND, and a SENDER.. I have the positive all linked together with the power from the rest of the gauges, I have the ground the same way..... and then I noticed I didnt have anything to the sender BUT I was getting a VOLTS reading... ????????????????????????????????? How is that possible? Shouldnt I have to put the wire that I have going to the battery to the sender to get a VOLTS reading?? ????????????????????????????????? THANKS!! |

Re: One more Auto Meter Gauge question - VOLTS METER
That's how they normally worked. I was surprised when you said you had a sender connection as well. My guess is it's one style housing but the sender lead doesn't do anything.
I would not put anything on it. If you think how a volt meter works, it only needs 12+ and a ground. I assume you got your fuel gauge working?
