Post Save the Bed

I'm about done with my 72 Cheyenne. I was thinking about having an upholstry shop do a bedliner in carpet. I am a little "ify" on it, and would appreciate input. Thanks, TF

Don't know if I would go that route, but I use mine to haul dirty stuff sometimes. It would be nice though when you went camping or were hauling folks around. Would look nice too. Good luck, Jeff.

How are you going to use your truck. I would never put anything in the bed that would retain moisture. Is it a cruiser, work truck or daily driver? Since you are considering carpet it must be a pretty nice cruiser at least. I would look into body colored Rhino liner in the bed...durable and attractive.

If you go carpet I would rhino line under it and then get a very good cover that won't let water in... or use marine carpet.

I would only do it if it lives 360 days a year in the garage.

I like that liner job. What holds it in at 90 when you don't have 6 babes or a keg to weigh it down?
Got a pic of the hardware?

What holds it in. Well the weight of the wood and also did you notice the Access tonneau cover? I did this just so I can go to one car show with an ugly cushman scooter in the back. Total cost of build was $45.

Many many thanks. It seems the Rhino lining will have to be condsidered. I have only seen it in a pebble type finish, but if I can get it smooth, I guess I'll go that way. My last truck got an average of 5,300 miles per year, but I just sold it to a guy in VT. He was excited because they had never seen a rust-free truck in that part of the country. Thanks for letting me be a part of your board. TF
