Bench seat.

Alright guys...This is going to seem like a dumb question. But did all the bench seats in the '67-'72 trucks raise up? You know the back tilts forward. Everyone I've seen has, but mine don't, I really need it to move so I can replace the float part inside the gas tank.. other wise I'm going to have to take out the whole seat...Thats why I asked.

If the seat does have to come ouit I'll just wait until I find another one to replace mine...since its rough anyway.

On a side note, I hope to have some updated pictures later today.

Thats what I needed to know. thanks!

Looks like I'll be making yet another trip to the junkyard..they have a '68 Chevy...I'm getting the tailgate, door panels and arm rests off of..They said they have a good seat too...They said I could get all of it for $75 bucks..So I'm heading out to get that sometime this week.

The tailgate and everything is in great shape..only thing I've not seen is the seat.

Re: Bench seat.

what year truck do you have? IIRC the 67 and/or 68's came with tilt forward seats, or at least some had this option, the later years did not, so check the 68 in the yard, it may have a tilt forward seat

Re: Bench seat.

I have seen more trucks with seats that do not flip forward than ones that do.

Re: Bench seat.

My '69's original seat only slid forward, no reclining.

Re: Bench seat.

I've called the junkyard again and they said the '68 they have does have a tilt seat...So it looks like I'l be getting a seat too...

Funny tho...The reason I thought all of them tiltted is because so far every '67-'72 Truck I've seen at car shows or looked at buying all had tilt seats...Everyone but mine..lol..but I don't care..I love mine anyway...Thanks guys for the repiles.

I've not forgot about updated pictures...Once again I've got a rain delay!!!
