Firewall block off plates for non AC truck
Was someone on the board selling or making or having a template to cover up the holes in the firewall after I have removed the stock heater and fan set up?
I did a little search, but found very little help. I am going to weld up the heater openings, but I thought a template would make the whole process faster. I know I can make a tracing and transfer it to some steel but if someone already has a template that would be helpful. Mick |

Re: Firewall block off plates for non AC truck
Perfect.
That's exactly what I needed. I thought I had a spot marked on Ebay, but no such luck. I thought maybe some here had install pictures, but I couldn't find it. Thanks alot for the help. I pulled the heater box off and was fishing out all of the leaves and muck, and someone posted the AC install from Custom Classic Trucks, that got me thinking. I think I'm going to ditch the stock system and step up to an aftermarket AC system and welding up the firewall is a good start... Mick |

In the process, check that area behind the glove box closely--up under the dash. You have metal on metal welding with minimal rust preventative that often needs attention to keep water from leaking in. It is the underside of the air intake below the cowl. Huck
