New toy
Hello, New to the baord I am, great to be amongst fellow truck people. I currently own a 68 lowered short stepside with original 327 / turbo 350, a 77 lowered swb 350 / 700r, [ my daily driver ] and a 500 hp 85 stepside 4 x 4 . I have been searching high and low for a new project- 67 swb. With plans of a twin turbo charged BIG BLOCK. I spoke to a guy yesterday that said he new a guy who had one for sale. So I gave him my number, with no sleep. I heard nothing. So I tracked the owner of the truck down this morning and waiting for him to call me back to look at the truck today. The story is it was his high school truck with a 63 vette motor in it and has been sitting for 25 years. needless to say I am chomping at the bit and just had to tell someone besides my wife. lol. I will post pics later today. Larry

Re: New toy
Thanks guys, Truck in question had normal issues. Cab corners and rockers need replaces, but not bad, just pin holes. The bed and front end were off a 69 or newer [ ouch ] easy to find parts. Included is a complete lwb parts truck. Year unknown, it was at a differant location. There is a red 67 for sale on this board that is so far away but would probably make a better base for my project just can't seem to get the guy to send me some pics of problem areas. Oh well... I am going to try and attach some pics of said truck and pics of current rides. Thanks, Larry

Re: New toy
Welcome!!
The way I do pictures is use www.photbucket.com ,just copy & paste using the IMG code.If you need more specific directions let me know.I don`t know much, but it may be about file size and p-bucket automatically takes care of that.

Re: New toy
I have decided to pass on this deal. just to much $ for the condition of the trucks. I don't think even the parts are worth it. So still looking.

Re: New toy
If the truck David Johnson has for sale was closer, it would be in my garage today. 67 swb custom, 5 lug and drop spring conversion already done. Not a mutt from what he says and I can tell.

Re: New toy
Check the "Trucks For Sale" section of the forum. Lots of 67 SWB on there. A few TX rust free ones too!

This 68 stepper, Like my 4x, was once mine and as my sons got older they became theres. Dad still gets to work on them from time to time. My 19 year old drives this one when he is home.
