Question about moving gas tank
Remember those old Monte Carlos in the '70s that had the fill tube for the gas tank behind the tag? Flip down the tag and filler up? Anyone know if it is possible to use that type of setup on a 70 Chevy Stepside? I am definitely going to remove the tank from within the cab and install a replacement under the bed. I would like to "hide" the fill tube and gas cap if possible.
Is this a ridiculous idea? or maybe plausible? Thanks. Jason |

That might place the fill tube too low. This topic has been covered a lot here on the board, use the Search function and you should come across plenty of info about moving the tank. Fill tube can be routed to bed, tail-light, side-marker light, or other locations. There's plenty of info and help available, good luck.

Yep too low it will just pour out on the ground. If you use the search like barn said you will find some ideas on puting it behind the marker and tail light.
