dual tank gas door?

Did all truck equipped with dual tanks have a gas door on each side of the bed. My '80 had a door on each side but I just got back from looking at a '75 and the drivers side had the fuel fillet in the wheel well, but the passenger side had a gas door. was this added later? Everything looked factory.

Re: dual tank gas door?

Many truck owners added the drivers side fuel tank and placed the filler pipe in the wheel well. It was the "short cut" approach. Also was common to see them there when a dump bed lift was installed.
