Looking for drive shaft for my 67 4x4
I changed my rear axle to a 14 bolt in my 67 3/4 ton 4x4 and my stock shaft is too long and can't be shortend and balanced because of a dent. I need one 37.5" center to center, is there a correct length crossover in the junk yard that I can look for. Thanks for any help.

Re: Looking for drive shaft for my 67 4x4
if you find a driveshaft that is longer than what you need that is in good shape you can have that cut and balanced. it's a lot easier to have a shop make it the size you need than hunting for a specific driveshaft

Just because it can't be shortened does not mean that they can't re-tube it. If the ends are good it would still be cheaper than re-working a junkyard unit.

Re: Looking for drive shaft for my 67 4x4
be sure to take the shop both pieces of the driveshaft if its 2 piece driveshaft, you cant ballance just one piece. dont be suprised if the slip and stub in the center are worn out $$
