ABS Plastic or Vinyl paint

Gonna be trying to do some custom work to my interior...I have a center console out of an old K5 that I am using with my buckets but I am gonna need to paint it...I am sure whatever trim i find for the headliner/pillars is gonna need painted...along with possibly trying to paint the cluster cover...wanna know what everyones input is on the best paint to use and the brand with the best variety of colors....

Check the FAQ forum for an article on the subject. It is VERY, VERY important to prep the work correctly.

SEM also, this stuff really impressed me and I'm a fairly big skeptic. The adhesion, not to mention flow & leveling are very nice.

Re: ABS Plastic or Vinyl paint

I have used SEM brand vinyl dye on my 1964 volvo rear seats going from a brownish tan color to black. As many others have said, much like any paint work, the prep work makes all the difference. The car gets driven on summer days and there has been no fading in the 7 years since it has been done. The back seat also doesn't really get much use so I cannot comment on its durability .
