fuel system ?
I just started today trying to get my fuel cell mocked up so I could make some brackets to hold it. I'm talking out back behind the rearend. Anyway, I was holding the cell up in position and realized that the outlet for the fuel is below the fuel pump. *Scratches head* This means that the fuel pump won't be primed.... correct? Do mechanical pumps prime themselves? Will this make for hard starting since the gas has to travel uphill? I haven't made anything yet, but this concerns me. I've seen a couple trucks at shows with the fuel cell inside of the bed, but that seems more like a show truck thing. It gives easy access to the filler for people who might mess with it, plus that gas has to get hot if the car was parked outside on a hot day. What's going on here everyone? Are the blazer tanks like this with an outlet lower than the fuel pump?? Help me out here....... anyone..... please.
