Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
sounds good to me especially if its a SWB. I have seen 1 or 2 lwb 4x4 go quickly around here for 400 - 450, dont run across the 4x4 much around here though.

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
I just sold a 69 3/4 ton rusty cab...no bed/4 spd-205 transfer/ disc brake front for 650.00 a month or so ago. it is probably worh what you are paying. 67-72 4x4 frames bring good money!

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
I personally wouldn't pay that much, I would look for a newer frame with the NP205 transfer case and disc brakes on the front axle. The rockwell t-case and drum braked front axles are good for scrap and that's about it.

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
My 69 had a 205, and disk brake open knuckle dana under it . Why would you want a frame of off a newer vehicle that wont fit the cab or bed without alot of fabricating ( or are you talking about a 69 - 72 frame?)?

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
Does it come with a title? CG had one that was missing some parts for much less but had a clear title. Too far away for you however, but he could not sell it for $200!!! There are some really cheap prices out there right now.

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
Wish there was an inexpensive way to ship these parts east...you guys need a break. You would all cry if you saw what some people throw away on a weekly basis.

Re: 68 4 wheel drive frame
Not for $500...
drum brake axle and usually no provisions on the frame for power steering. Rear springs and longer an hard to find for a lift... I would look for a 71-72 myself... or give the guy $300 The transfer case isn't scrap but not cheap to rebuild either...
