Need Help

I just replaced my distributor, intake, and Carburetor and now my truck wont start. The entire electrical system is dead. I thought it was the battery, but it is fully charged. I dont even have lights. Is there something that I might have missed or screwed up?

Check your plug on the firewall in the engine department. Might have knocked that plug loose or its corroded. Everything gets power thru that connection.

clean your ground term. and the block connection. Grounds can cause lots of electrical demons.

I've seen them in 2 locations on GM trucks.

The 1st is a 16 Ga. (but with the heavier insulation, it looks like a 12 Ga. wire) wire from the battery to a junction block on the fender well near the battery.
The 2nd location is off the battery cable terminal on the starter solenoid. It too looks like a 12 Ga. wire.

If worse comes to worse, you can chase the wire backwards from the bulkhead connector for your fuse block.

Make sure everything is clean & shiny; battery posts, cable terminals at both ends, ground at the block, on & on & on.

A friend of mine had a similar problem. It was some corrosion in the bulkhead connector for the fuse block.
I had a problem that took me over a week to track down, & at that, I found it accidentally. The ground cable to the engine block was corroded inside the terminal at the block.

where is the fuseable link at? I checked the fuses under the dash but they are all good to go. Im a good wrench turner, but my electrician degree is still in the mail.

It's gonna be a softer section of wire, some kinda connector at each end, usually in the alt positive line or a starter line. It's a light inner heavy gage lookin and if burnt, it'll feel hallow inside. They're usually 3-4/5 inches long. Sorry to repeat, we're posting in unison.

Check the + wire coming off the Battery to the fender at the block mounted on passenger fender make sure all the wires are intact. Then follow the wires across the radiator support. You will find the small fuses here.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
