electric fan question
I've got a single 16inch electric fan set up on my 350. I plan on going to a dual fan set up in the near future but for now the single fan has to do the job. The problem I have is that the current fan is a pusher style and according to the instructions cannot be wired to be a puller style. Does anyone know of a way to wire it so that it becomes a puller style? My only other solution is to mount it on the opposite side of the radiator, but if I do that I'll have to relocate my oil cooler.

Re: electric fan question
Well from what I know, you can wire the motor the opposite polarity and it will run backwards, but if the fan blades are curved or pitched for one way operation it wont pull the same CFM running backwards. Im sure someone else will chime in, but thats my .02

Re: electric fan question
Your probably right about the blade thing, it is a S-blade style so it won't cool with the same cfm. I guess I'll have to mount it on the opposite side of the radiator. Oh well...I needed something to do this weekend anyways.

Re: electric fan question
keep an eye on the temp guage this summer. Fans don't work nearly as well in pusher fashion as they do as pullers.
