1951 Buick Pickup

I usually hang out with the 67-72 crowd, but I came across this on the Denver area craigslist and thought you guys might get a kick out of it. Some one combined the front end of a 1951 Buick with the back cab from a '49 3100 and the bed from a '55. The listing owner says it was done in the late 50's. Looks killer. There are a few more pics on the listing, one shows the area where the cab and the Buick were combined. Looks good in the picture.

I posted this in the '47-'59 section already, but thought you guys might get a kick out of it also.

Re: 1951 Buick Pickup

Cool! There was a similar chuck at Charlotte last year.47-54 Chevy truck with 54 Chevy front clip.It was also nicely done.Would make a great cruiser for shows.

Re: 1951 Buick Pickup

I hope some one grabs it up from the forum so we can watch it bloom into a better eye catcher than it is now.. A friend of mine had a 49 Buick torpedo back straight 8 too .. what a smooth ride that was ..

Re: 1951 Buick Pickup

I wonder how long the chassis are ..because the longer the better the ride.. You all are going to hate me for this ,,but back in the day this happened a lot ..

My hunting friends back then ( 4 of us ) .. We liked target practice and always was shooting something to see what our rifles and pistols .revolvers would do with the different bullets we used .. We shot the he&& out of that old Buick and then later it was hauled to the junk yard ,,thats before crushers so at least some of it was reused for parts.. thats just the way it was..

Re: 1951 Buick Pickup

Thats really neat. I'd love to fix it up. It sure would be fun to fix it up and plop it in a car show. I'd stand off to the side and listen to the debates.

Re: 1951 Buick Pickup

I think it's very cool. The price is crazy though. If I owned it and had to sell it, I'd sell it super cheap just to see it get built.
