83 c10 steering column replacement
All, can somone please prove me an how to replace a steering cloumn. i've never had to repalce one. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

1- Remove the small lower dash bezel (under the column) and metal cover that's under it.
2- Unplug the long flat plug that's on the shaft behind the cover you just removed. 3- Unplug the ignition switch (midway down) and neutral safty switch (by the firewall) 4- Remove the shaft bolt above the rubber damper. (outside/engine bay) 5- Remove the shift linkage and the two bolts that clamp the coulmn to the firewall. (outside/engine bay) 6- Remove the bolts from the firewall cover (where the column goes through) and pull that off (one side will come appart) 7- If your shift inacator wire/cable is still hooked up you should remove that. 8- Now remove the two nuts that are holding the column (behind where the cover was) and it should be ready to come out.
