Houston to Columbus, IN

Me and the wife had to leave Wednesday night to come to IN to see her dad. As I drove though the night the scenery wasn't that great. Once day broke I had to let the wife drive and was glad I did. I started spotting the 67-72 trucks a lot better. It's been crazy how many I've seen on the way just sitting in fields or on the sides of barns. We'll be here until Sunday, then I get to play "find the 67-72" on the way back to Houston. It's cool, even the wife plays, for some reason she sure spots a lot of old "junk", I mean Ford trucks, haha. This is only more motivation to get mine finished when I get back home.

I noticed the same thing from Iowa to Houston. Seems like every time we went through an especially good area I was always driving though...

When I go to central and west Texas I usually take back roads to not deal with the heavy interstate traffic. Even though I have been out there a thousand times it always amazes me how much good stuff is still sitting around out there. My wifes family farm in Amarillo alone has about 15-20 old cars and trucks from the 30s-50s sitting around. Unfortunately the in law that lives on the farm won't let anyone take anything so I can't take any of em. His wife said I could have them but I could see the fear in his eyes when she said that. He looked as though he was going to have a coronary when we took an old Dr. Pepper crate, so I haven't pressed on taking any of the cars.
