Power Window Wiring Diagram?
Just picked up a 1980 K10 pickup, just wonderin if anybody had a wiring diagram for the power windows? Also wondering if there is a way to test the power door lock relay.

Re: Power Window Wiring Diagram?
Try autozone.com. The wiring guides they have aren't the greatest but they have been accurate with my factory manual for my 77 for door lock and things like that. I can't access them at work, but I can try after work. I can scan my 77 manual after work for those pages. Not the same year but still similiar.
As far as testing the door lock relay, the only thing I can think of is to put power directly to the relay, bypassing the switch. I can't verify that it will work like that as I don't have a truck with power locks to test that on right now. Last edited by keith61760; 03-17-2009 at 11:55 PM. |

Re: Power Window Wiring Diagram?
Found one that's not the greatest but it shows the system. The right side is for a Suburban.

Re: Power Window Wiring Diagram?
That's how I wired the power windows in my truck, but I thought it might be a good idea to run a relay in there to the window motors. My driver side seems to roll down pretty dang slow, but it may just be an old motor.

Re: Power Window Wiring Diagram?
Mine are wired like this diagram shows and they are real slow too. Does anyone know if the relay will help or should I order new window motors?

Re: Power Window Wiring Diagram?
relay should help but if your motors are old you might want to change them
